I take 2 of these every day. I was determined to get off the Simvastatin after open heart surgery for an aortic valve replacement. I researched a great deal and believe the drugs the prescribe sometimes for cholesterol cause more side effects than good but everyone needs to determine that for themselves. I spoke with my cardiologist, my family doctor, and a naturopath. The ND recommended this product and it was just what I was looking for. It was also recommended I take Niatain at night, one pill every night. My cholesterol and all numbers are fantastic. I eat well, and walk at least a little every day. I work also so am fairly active. I will be 65 years old this May. The side effects I had was some depression, foggy mind, and just didn't feel right. All of which is gone and I feel great.
